What is included · real estate hosting and maintenance

Eight things your real estate website
hosting and maintenance plan ships with.

Most real estate website maintenance services charge hourly and skip the hosting side, so when your site goes down you call three vendors. We bundle hosting plus maintenance into one retainer with one team and one phone number. Here is exactly what is included every month.

01 · HOSTING

Managed hosting and CDN

Fully managed hosting on WP Engine, Kinsta, Vercel, or AWS depending on your stack. Global CDN, SSL, HTTP/3, and a 99.99 percent uptime target. You never log into cPanel again.

02 · HOSTING

Daily backups and staging

Daily off-site encrypted backups with 30 days of restore points. Production-mirrored staging environment for every change so nothing risky ships straight to live during a hot listing weekend.

03 · HOSTING

Uptime and IDX feed monitoring

Synthetic uptime checks every 60 seconds plus IDX feed health monitoring. If the MLS feed breaks at 2am, we know before your agents do and a fix is already in motion.

04 · MAINTENANCE

Security and core updates

WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates tested in staging before production. Vulnerability scans, malware monitoring, WAF tuning, and SSL renewals. SOC 2, GDPR, and WCAG AA compliance maintenance.

05 · MAINTENANCE

Performance and Core Web Vitals

Monthly performance audit and remediation. Sub-2-second LCP and clean Web Vitals are non-negotiable. We monitor real-user metrics, not just Lighthouse scores, and tune images, fonts, and scripts every month.

06 · MAINTENANCE

Agent onboarding and content updates

Add new agents, swap listing photos, refresh neighborhood pages, and ship seasonal landing pages inside the retainer. No hourly creep, no waiting two weeks for a headshot to go live.

07 · OPTIMIZATION

Monthly CRO sprint on listings

A/B tests on hero, listing pages, inquiry forms, and agent profile CTAs. Run by senior strategists with statistical rigor, not vibes. Compounds into double-digit inquiry-form lift over a year.

08 · REPORTING

Monthly hosting and maintenance report

A real written report (not a screenshot) covering uptime, performance, security, what changed on the site, what tests ran, what improved, and what we recommend next month. Plus a quarterly scope rebid.

How the program runs

Four stages between
onboarding and compounding lift.

Same architecture across every real estate website hosting and maintenance engagement, recalibrated for your stack. Every stage ships a written artifact. Step zero is a 30 minute call with a senior site strategist (not a salesperson) who runs a live performance, security, and uptime audit, and walks you off the call with a written risk list and an itemized hosting plus maintenance plan.

does not operate this way.

Worth comparing before you sign with any real estate website maintenance vendor, us included. Pay attention to who owns hosting, who owns CRO, and what response time you actually get when something breaks at 9pm on a Sunday.

Common questions

Real estate hosting and
maintenance questions we get.

Eight of the most common questions brokerages and team leads ask before signing for real estate website maintenance services with hosting bundled in. If yours is not here, the strategy call is the right place to ask it.

What does real estate website hosting and maintenance cost per month?
For most brokerages and teams, the bundled retainer runs $2,500 to $6,000 per month. That covers managed hosting on enterprise-grade infrastructure, daily backups, security and updates, IDX feed monitoring, agent onboarding, performance work, and a monthly CRO sprint. Hosting is included, not a separate line item.
What hosting platforms do you run brokerage sites on?
WP Engine, Kinsta, Pantheon for WordPress sites. Webflow Cloud for Webflow builds. Vercel for Next.js. AWS for headless or custom stacks. The platform is matched to your site, not the other way around. We migrate you in during onboarding at no extra fee.
What is included in real estate maintenance services vs new feature work?
Inside the retainer: core, theme, and plugin updates, security patches, agent onboarding, content edits up to roughly 8 hours per month, monthly CRO experiments, performance tuning, and IDX feed support. Outside the retainer: net-new pages over 1 page per month, new neighborhood hubs, full redesigns, or new integrations. Those are scoped separately and quoted in writing.
What is your uptime guarantee?
99.99 percent uptime target across all managed hosting tiers. That equates to under 53 minutes of downtime per year. We monitor with synthetic checks every 60 seconds plus IDX feed health checks. If we miss the SLA in a billing month, the next month is credited.
What is the response time when something breaks?
Same business day for standard issues. Under 1 hour acknowledgment for emergencies (site down, checkout broken, listings missing) and 24/7 emergency coverage including weekends. You get a senior engineer, not a junior with a script.
Do you do real estate website hosting only, without maintenance?
No. The point of bundling hosting and maintenance is that one team owns uptime, security, performance, AND CRO. Splitting them is how brokerages end up with three vendors and zero accountability when something breaks at midnight before an open house.
What happens if we want to leave?
Three months minimum, then month-to-month with 30 days notice. We do a documented 30-day handoff: hosting credentials, code repo, change log, and an architecture document so your next team or in-house dev does not start from zero. You own everything we built.
Do you sign NDAs, DPAs, and SOC 2 paperwork?
Yes. SOC 2 Type II audited, GDPR compliant, and we routinely sign NDAs and DPAs before any privileged data work. Templates are in the contract pack we share after the strategy call.
Three ways to start

Start with a hosting and maintenance audit, not a sales call.

Pick the path that fits where your brokerage is right now. The first conversation produces something useful, a written risk list and an itemized hosting and maintenance plan, before either of us commits to anything bigger.
